Women Empowerment Initiative (WEIN) Bauchi, formerly known as Women in Nigeria (WIN), is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-religious organization founded in 1985 and registered in 2008. Initially focused on advocacy, WEIN shifted its approach in 2008 to partner with government and international organizations to create meaningful change for women at the grassroots level. Recognizing that awareness alone was insufficient, WEIN expanded its programs to include voter education, micro-credit services, health awareness, skills acquisition, and peacebuilding. These efforts have empowered women in many communities, giving them a voice in decision-making processes.
